President Donald J. Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
Dear President Trump,
I am writing to present a proposal that I believe reflects both the spirit of American greatness and the promise of prosperity for all Americans. The proposal, entitled A Blueprint for Black American Success, is inspired by Dennis Kimbro and Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice. It is a cultural, social, and economic plan designed to empower Black Americans by equipping them with the tools, mindset, and strategies necessary for personal advancement and community transformation.
The plan is rooted in principles that align closely with your administration’s values of self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and economic innovation. It calls for promotion by the White House while being led, funded, and scaled by Black Americans themselves. This ensures that empowerment is sustainable, ownership is local, and outcomes are truly transformative.
The blueprint emphasizes six pillars: mindset transformation, education and skill development, entrepreneurship, collective leadership, spiritual and emotional resilience, and legacy-building. Together, these pillars form a cohesive model for empowerment that is both practical and visionary. By grounding the plan in Napoleon Hill’s principles of success—adapted to the realities of America for Black people—it ensures cultural relevance, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
The value proposition for America is clear. Empowered Black communities generate new businesses, create jobs, and contribute to national prosperity. Wealth-building reduces poverty and crime, while cultural pride and resilience strengthen social cohesion. Stronger Black Americans will lead to, without question, a stronger America. Your support of this plan would demonstrate that American greatness is greatness for all Americans, built not through dependency but through empowerment.
I respectfully request your consideration of this proposal and would welcome the opportunity to present it in detail to your team. Together, we can launch a movement that uplifts communities, strengthens the nation, and secures a legacy of prosperity for future generations.
Thank you for your leadership and your commitment to building a greater America for all.
Respectfully,
Brian C. Alston

ABSTRACT
This proposal outlines a comprehensive cultural, social, and economic success plan for Black Americans, grounded in the philosophy and principles articulated in Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice by Dennis Kimbro and Napoleon Hill. The plan is designed to empower individuals and communities through mindset transformation, skill-building, entrepreneurship, and cultural resilience. It is presented as a value proposition for the Trump White House and the nation as a whole, demonstrating how the empowerment of Black Americans contributes to national unity, prosperity, and global competitiveness.
INTRODUCTION
Black Americans have long been central to the progress and development of the United States, yet systemic inequities have consistently limited opportunities for widespread economic and social advancement. Despite these challenges, Black communities have shown remarkable resilience and innovation, producing leaders, entrepreneurs, and cultural pioneers whose impact has shaped the nation. As the United States seeks to strengthen its foundation for future growth, the time is right for a national blueprint that empowers Black Americans to design, lead, and sustain their own paths to success.
This proposal presents such a blueprint, rooted in the values of self-reliance, perseverance, and community solidarity, as articulated in Dennis Kimbro and Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice. It adapts Napoleon Hill’s “13 Principles of Success” to the unique experiences of Black Americans, combining timeless strategies with culturally relevant applications. This plan is designed to be promoted by the White House as part of a broader vision for American greatness, while being led, funded, and scaled by Black communities themselves.
LITERATURE GROUNDING
In Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice, Dennis Kimbro builds upon Napoleon Hill’s classic success philosophy by contextualizing it for Black Americans facing systemic challenges such as racism, economic disparities, and limited access to resources. The book affirms that success is not only possible but attainable through the cultivation of a strong mindset, faith, and decisive action. Kimbro highlights examples of successful Black leaders, including Oprah Winfrey and Jesse Jackson, who embody the principles of desire, persistence, and community empowerment.
The principles outlined in the text provide the foundation for this proposal. Success begins with a burning desire to achieve, followed by faith in one’s capacity and the discipline to translate vision into reality. Affirmations and positive conditioning strengthen belief systems, while specialized knowledge equips individuals with tools for success. Imagination, organized planning, and decisive action transform ideas into outcomes. Persistence ensures resilience in the face of barriers, while collaboration with like-minded individuals builds networks of support. Ultimately, the process culminates in the development of intuition, legacy, and community transformation.
THE BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESS
The proposed blueprint rests upon six interconnected pillars: mindset transformation, education and skill development, economic mobilization, collective networks, spiritual and emotional resilience, and measurement of legacy outcomes. Together, these pillars form a cohesive plan for Black empowerment that is both individually transformative and collectively sustainable.
Mindset transformation is the foundation of the plan. Individuals are encouraged to create personal mission statements, engage in daily affirmations, and immerse themselves in empowering narratives. Communities will host cultural reprogramming workshops and develop media platforms to celebrate Black excellence, reinforcing pride and vision.
Education and skill development are essential for empowerment. Individuals will pursue specialized training in trades, digital technologies, and entrepreneurship, while communities establish hubs for learning within schools, churches, and cultural centers. Programs such as financial literacy courses and mentorship networks will ensure that participants gain practical skills that can be applied immediately.
Economic mobilization is central to long-term transformation. Individuals will launch microenterprises, engage in cooperative investment strategies, and learn to build wealth through savings, credit repair, and asset accumulation. Communities will establish business incubators, buying clubs, and “Buy Black” campaigns to recycle wealth within Black neighborhoods.
Collective power will be harnessed through networks of leadership and accountability. Mastermind circles will provide mentorship, collaboration, and problem-solving for individuals, while coalitions of educators, entrepreneurs, and faith leaders will coordinate community-based strategies.
Spiritual and emotional resilience form the moral compass of the blueprint. Individuals will be encouraged to cultivate gratitude, prayer, and meditation as part of their daily routines. Mental health care will be normalized through access to culturally competent therapy and healing circles. Community forums will provide opportunities for collective storytelling and emotional restoration.
Finally, measurement and legacy ensure accountability and sustainability. Individuals will track progress in journals, establish family legacies through estate planning, and mentor younger generations. Communities will track metrics on job creation, business launches, wealth growth, and graduation rates. By institutionalizing accountability, the blueprint guarantees long-term impact.
VALUE PROPOSITION FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP AND AMERICA
This blueprint aligns with the values of the Trump White House by emphasizing self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and prosperity. It recognizes that empowered Black communities are vital to a stronger America. Economic growth fueled by Black entrepreneurship will create jobs and strengthen U.S. competitiveness. Community stability resulting from wealth-building will reduce poverty, crime, and dependence on government assistance. National unity will be reinforced as the success of Black Americans demonstrates that opportunity and achievement are attainable for all citizens.
Furthermore, the program offers a politically valuable narrative: that the Trump Administration supports empowerment over dependency, opportunity over stagnation, and unity over division. By endorsing and promoting this blueprint, the White House can demonstrate a commitment to greatness for all Americans.
CONCLUSION
This proposal offers a comprehensive and practical path toward the empowerment of Black Americans. Rooted in the proven success philosophy of Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice, it presents a vision where Black communities take ownership of their futures while the nation benefits from their achievements. It is not a handout but a call to action—one that promotes self-reliance, economic growth, and cultural pride. By endorsing this blueprint, President Trump and the White House can affirm that America’s greatness lies in empowering all its citizens to thrive.

A BLUEPRINT FOR BLACK AMERICAN SUCCESS: CITY-BASED APPLICATIONS
August 27, 2025
BALTIMORE: LEGACY BUILDERS INITIATIVE
Baltimore has long struggled with high poverty rates, systemic inequities, and educational disparities. The Legacy Builders Initiative adapts the blueprint from Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice to target empowerment for youth, families, and entrepreneurs in West Baltimore. Central to this strategy is mindset transformation, achieved through community-led cultural workshops and mentorship programs at schools, barbershops, and churches. In partnership with organizations like Bmore Empowered and the Black Arts District, Baltimore will cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets while also fostering cultural pride and resilience.
Education and skill development form the backbone of Baltimore’s strategy. The initiative will expand apprenticeship programs in digital trades, health services, and construction, tailored to the needs of Baltimore’s job market. Financial literacy courses will be hosted monthly in collaboration with Coppin State University and local nonprofits, ensuring that residents are equipped to manage credit, savings, and investment strategies. Youth “Mastermind Circles” will engage teenagers in personal mission development, leadership training, and success journaling to reinforce self-discipline and perseverance.
Economic mobilization in Baltimore will be realized through a Black Business Incubator, offering microgrants, mentorship, and shared workspace for startups. Cooperative economics will also be encouraged via buying clubs and “Buy Black” campaigns, ensuring that resources circulate within the community. Social networks will be formalized into Leadership Coalitions, where local faith leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs collaborate on unified strategies for community uplift.
To measure success, Baltimore will track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as the number of microbusinesses launched (target: 25 in Year 1), youth participation in Mastermind Circles (target: 100 students), and financial literacy workshop completion (target: 200 residents). Long-term outcomes will be measured by increases in business survival rates after one year (70%), improvement in credit scores, and high school graduation rates among participating youth. These measurable benchmarks will demonstrate the program’s scalability and accountability.
CHICAGO: RISE & RECLAIM WEALTH INITIATIVE
Chicago’s South and West Side neighborhoods face significant challenges in unemployment, crime, and intergenerational poverty. The Rise & Reclaim Wealth Initiative applies Dennis Kimbro’s adaptation of Napoleon Hill’s 13 success principles to mobilize Black Chicagoans toward wealth creation and cultural renewal. A central element is curriculum integration: the “Think and Grow Rich – A Black Choice” philosophy will be embedded in three partner high schools as part of leadership, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship courses.
The program also emphasizes family empowerment. Wealth-building clinics will meet monthly at local community centers, offering practical sessions on budgeting, investment, and homeownership. These clinics will include intergenerational programming, allowing parents and children to engage in financial goal-setting together. In addition, the Black United Fund of Illinois (BUFI) will support a Community Business Accelerator, selecting 15 promising entrepreneurs annually to receive mentorship, seed funding, and business development training.
Chicago’s blueprint leverages existing cultural strengths such as the mentorship provided by Ladies of Virtue (LOV) and civic engagement programs like Fields of Dreams. Together, these organizations will anchor a cultural reprogramming campaign that highlights success stories, builds community pride, and fosters resilience in the face of systemic inequities. Mental health workshops and healing circles will also normalize emotional well-being as part of holistic empowerment.
To ensure measurable outcomes, Chicago will track KPIs including the number of students completing the curriculum (target: 300 in Year 1), families with savings plans established (target: 50), and new businesses launched through the accelerator (target: 15). Secondary indicators will include reduced unemployment in targeted neighborhoods, credit score improvements among clinic participants, and long-term business survival rates. These measurable benchmarks will position Chicago as a model for scalable urban transformation.
WASHINGTON, D.C.: CAPITAL LEGACY BLUEPRINT
Washington, D.C., particularly in Wards 7 and 8, has one of the highest wealth gaps in the nation. The Capital Legacy Blueprint applies Kimbro and Hill’s principles to empower Black Washingtonians through youth leadership, economic cooperation, and civic advocacy. The initiative begins with a Youth Leadership Academy, a 12-week program that trains participants in entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and emotional intelligence. This academy will be hosted in partnership with Howard University and 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, D.C.
Parallel to youth programming, the initiative will establish Community Wealth Circles—peer-led investment groups that focus on cooperative economics, credit building, and estate planning. These circles are designed not only to grow wealth but also to build accountability and intergenerational financial literacy. In addition, Empower DC will anchor a series of policy advocacy workshops, teaching residents how to engage in systemic change and influence local governance through the application of Napoleon Hill’s success principles.
Cultural resilience is central to the D.C. plan. The city will host an annual Black Choice Summit, bringing together 500 residents, policymakers, and entrepreneurs for workshops, networking, and recognition of local success stories. This summit will function as a cultural touchstone, reinforcing pride and demonstrating progress to stakeholders. Faith-based organizations will play a role in spiritual re-centering, promoting gratitude, prayer, and meditation as daily practices for resilience.
Measurable KPIs for Washington, D.C. include the number of youth completing the academy (target: 75 in Year 1), wealth circles formed (target: 10 with sustained participation), and attendance at the Black Choice Summit (target: 500). Additional indicators will include measurable growth in group investment portfolios, civic engagement outcomes (e.g., residents testifying at policy hearings), and intergenerational wealth planning adoption (e.g., wills, insurance policies). These metrics ensure transparency, accountability, and scalability of the initiative across other U.S. cities.
CONCLUSION
The city-specific applications of the Blueprint for Black American Success demonstrate that empowerment is most effective when rooted in cultural relevance, measurable outcomes, and community ownership. Baltimore, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. each offer unique opportunities for transformation, but share the same foundation of mindset change, education, economic mobilization, collective networks, spiritual resilience, and measurable legacies. By aligning these strategies with national values of entrepreneurship and self-reliance, the program affirms that America’s greatness is realized when every community is empowered to thrive. These localized pilots not only benefit the residents of the three cities but also serve as replicable models for other urban centers nationwide.
