About Course

The Relationship Literacy Program (RLP) is a comprehensive 26-session curriculum designed for high school cadets in U.S. military academies. Rooted in the values of Respect, Responsibility, and Leadership, the program equips cadets with practical skills in self-identity, communication, conflict resolution, and ethical decision-making. Delivered through engaging videos, journaling, discussions, and scenario-based assessments, the RLP fosters personal growth and unit cohesion essential for success in both military and civilian life.

Course Content

Module 1: Self-Identity & Awareness
In this module, cadets will learn how to: Identify and clarify their personal values and beliefs. Understand how cultural, gender, and social identity shape interactions within a unit. Develop emotional intelligence by recognizing and managing their own emotions. Strengthen self-regulation skills to respond constructively under pressure. Build self-esteem and resilience in the context of military training and leadership. By the end of this module, cadets will have the tools to better understand themselves, respect differences, and contribute to a stronger, more cohesive unit.
